That is in the VQC screen. Edit, F1, I/O, scroll down to Visual Quick Code.
We just recieved a new TL2 the other day. The guy that set it up also gave us some instructions on basic use of the machine. One thing that he did, and I can't seem to get back to this, is he went to a screen that had profiles of turned shapes with blank dimensioning lines that you just filled in. I can get to the intuitive section with the maunal, OD/ facing, threading and etc tabs but this isn't the same. In the screen he was in there were mulitple boxes with the desired shape pre drawn.
Hopefully someone knows what I'm refering to.

I think he might also be asking about the 'Profile' option in the Intuitive Programming Screens.
- Press Hand Jog to get into the IPS mode
- Arrow over to the Turn & Face tab, Write/Enter
- Arrow over to Profile, Write/Enter
- Arrow down to the Profile Number field, Press F1 to go into Shape Select (BTW: prompts are on the screen for this).
- The Shape List pops up with a bunch of empty profiles. Select one of them, Write/Enter.
From there it's a matter of filling in the blanks on the profile. The instructions are all on screen.
This is all in the IPS manual (pages 9-11)

I know how to get to the profile option, but this not the area that the service guy was in. The screen that was displayed had 6 individual boxes and the boxes had a black background with a profile of a part in blue. The idea is to choose a profile that represents the part you want to cut, and fill in the blanks. It is basically like the profile option in the IPS but it was a bit different. I can achieve the same results by using the profile option that you are refering too. Thanks for the info and link.
